As an Engineer at Forell | Elsesser, Nikhil applies his interdisciplinary background to the development of reliable structures and engineering/design tools. Nikhil is particularly interested in how creative analytical methods, algorithms, and new materials can improve the performance and sustainability of structures while preserving aesthetic sensibilities. Previously, he has worked for architecture firms and industrialized construction companies, improving workflows and evolving designs for mixed-use buildings in the Bay Area.
Nikhil received his Master’s in Structural Engineering from Stanford University, including research on nonlinear topology optimization methods. He also completed his undergraduate degree at Stanford, majoring in Architectural Design and minoring in Computer Science. He was a leader in the Stanford EERI Seismic Design Team and President of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) chapter.
In his free time, Nikhil enjoys photography, digital art, basketball, and lazy days listening to music in the park or at the beach.
