Engineer

Jenika McClay

Jenika is an Engineer at Forell | Elsesser with a deep passion for structural engineering and creating a more sustainable built environment. Jenika was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and stayed close to home for college attending San Francisco State University.  At SFSU, Jenika earned her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in Earthquake/Structural engineering. During her time at SFSU, Jenika took leadership roles in many student organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) SFSU chapter, where she served as Vice President. As part of the SFSU and greater Bay Area structural engineering community, she also contributed to many published papers including a thesis paper titled, “Effects of Green Roof Configuration on Structural Seismic Response.”

Outside of work, Jenika enjoys baking, hiking with her dog, and constructing extravagant LEGO structures.
