As a Structural Designer at Forell|Elsesser, Maya is eager to make a positive impact on the built environment. Maya received her Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and her Master’s in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. Maya has a diverse academic background and her interests extend far beyond structural engineering. She is passionate about the building industry as a whole, completing a minor in architecture, and pursuing classes and research in the areas of urban systems, sustainable materials, air pollution, and human well-being throughout her graduate education. Her undergraduate research focused on the dynamic behavior of concrete under varying environmental conditions.
Outside of work, Maya loves to read and enjoys many forms of art and music which she has pursued through membership in dance and a capella teams.
