
Forell Elsesser provided structural engineering services for a new parking structure for a new life science campus in South San Francisco. The parking structure is 550,000 sf with 2,000 parking stalls and consists of a ground level with 9 elevated decks. The primary structural system comprises of precast concrete elements, for both vertical and horizontal framing. The primary lateral force resisting system is precast hybrid moment frame system. The building will be founded in bedrock on a shallow foundation system.
