Forell Elsesser provided structural engineering services for a new parking structure, part of a large biotech-focused campus in Emeryville, CA. This 705,000 gsf, 11-level structure included 2,000 parking stalls. The construction featured a post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete long-span beam and one-way slab system, utilizing concrete shear walls and concrete moment frames for seismic load resistance. The parking structure was supported on a deep foundation system. The exterior wall was designed to incorporate light screening elements with plantings on the façade.
