- Forell | Elsesser provided structural engineering services for this new 35,000 s.f. academic facility to accommodate the growing need for instruction and research.
- The building houses collaborative faculty and student research areas, faculty offices, conference/seminar rooms, and computer labs for student and faculty use, plus a 150-seat lecture hall.
- The 2-story steel-framed structure, with concrete-filled metal deck floor and roof, is L-shaped and uses special concentric braced frames that provide seismic protection. Light gage steel was used for the cladding system.
- The foundation system utilized design-build Rammed Aggregrate Piers, concrete spread footings, and grade beams.
